1. We are the coolest team!

At Yobbers, it's all about working abroad! Our mission, "Inspiring people to discover the world," brings us together. Each team member has been abroad at some point! During our time overseas, we've all learned a lot about ourselves and different cultures. Our team consists of many nationalities, and working abroad is the norm for most of us. That's why we've decided to speak English in the office. Together, we want to give as many people as possible the opportunity to have their own experience abroad. After work, we often exercise together, plan team activities regularly, and enjoy a cold drink at the end of the workday. With an average age just under 30, you can also tell that technology and digitalization come naturally to us. For us, as "digital nomads," meetings between different countries are no longer a luxury, especially since we now have Yobbers offices in both Leeuwarden (the Netherlands) and Valencia (Spain)! 🧡

2. Do you want to live in a Dutch student city or in a Spanish coastal city?

The Yobbers team currently operates from two locations. One office is located in Leeuwarden, a city with picturesque canals in the Netherlands, and the other is situated on the sunny Mediterranean coast in Valencia, Spain. Where would you like to work? In the canal-lined student city of Leeuwarden or the sunny and multicultural coastal city of Valencia? Both offices are centrally located and feature fantastic rooftop terraces.

🇳🇱 Bonus Leeuwarden: Have you met our office dog Luna yet? This mischievous labradoodle lady is always up for a cuddle and keeps the entire team on their toes. Psst, she can be bribed with snacks, especially carrots! 🥕

🇪🇸 Bonus Spain: More than 300 days of sunshine per year! The Mediterranean climate in Valencia is a compelling reason for many to relocate to Spain. As a result, the rooftop terrace sees more frequent use than in Leeuwarden, but the office's air conditioning works perfectly to keep everyone comfortable!

3. A fantastic atmosphere & cool team activities!

Creating a pleasant work environment and a positive company culture is a top priority for us! This is evident in our daily lunches. Our lunches are typically healthy, but on Fridays, the air fryer comes out to make the Dutch "kapsalon." The same goes for our colleagues in Valencia, who also enjoy communal lunches in the office or on the sunny rooftop terrace. Furthermore, we place great importance on scheduling regular team activities. We celebrate our successes together, whether it's with a barbecue on the rooftop or a canal boat trip! We also have team-building activities on the agenda, such as visits to the treetop adventure park or stand-up paddleboarding through Leeuwarden.

4. We operate with holacracy!

In the innovative holocracy model, there are no intermediaries or managers. 🤯 Yobbers doesn't believe in fixed structures but values personal responsibility and independent work. So, you have individual roles that align with your skills and interests. These roles are organized into circles (similar to departments), and together, we pursue our goals and inspire as many people as possible to explore the world.

5. Where and when?

Flexibility is a key factor at Yobbers! Since day one, we've had flexible working hours, allowing you to schedule your work time freely between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM. The COVID-19 pandemic has also taught us that remote or hybrid work is indeed possible! However, we are deeply attached to our company culture: chatting at the coffee machine, a game of ping pong, and having lunch together are essential for us. That's why we've decided to implement a hybrid work model: one office day per circle, and on Fridays, we always wrap up the week together. For the rest of the week, you can choose where you want to work. However, we've noticed that all our employees prefer coming to the office rather than working alone at home. The choice is yours!
