Hi, I'm Janna! Last autumn, I went to the beautiful city of Budapest with my friend. We spent five days walking around and discovering different sights and places. I would like to share some of my favourite spots with you in this blog!

Magic Budapest restaurant

Let me start with the Magic Budapest restaurant. This is a small restaurant in the city centre with a Harry Potter theme. The food and drinks are all themed and this makes the experience extra fun. Moreover, the food is of good quality and very affordable. One main course costs around 10 euros and you get the unique experience as a gift!

Hungarian parliament building

Another must-see in Budapest is the Hungarian Parliament building. It is a beautiful building that is impressive to see. In the evening, the building is illuminated, which is even more breathtaking! We did a boat trip to admire the building from the water and it was an experience to remember.

Hongaars parlementsgebouw

Gellért Hill

For the sporty among us, a hike to the top of Gellért Hill is highly recommended. It is a short walk of about twenty minutes and you will be rewarded with spectacular views over the city. Especially recommended to do this during sunset when the whole city lights up beautifully.

ZOO CAFE

A unique experience was visiting the ZOO CAFE. At this cafe, you can enjoy a cup of coffee and a piece of cake while being surrounded by animals. Per round, different animals join you at your table, ranging from rabbits to chameleons. It is a very hygienic and safe environment and the staff is incredibly friendly.

Kameleon

Szechenyi Spa

Finally, I would like to recommend the Szechenyi Spa. If you want to relax for a while, this is the perfect place to go. There are both indoor and outdoor pools where you can relax. Especially enjoyable in the sunshine!

In short, Budapest is a great city with friendly people. There is so much to explore and see! I would definitely recommend booking in advance for any food and drink places you want to visit, as this is required almost everywhere. I hope I was able to inspire you to go and discover this beautiful city yourself! Already convinced and looking forward to living and working there? Then have a look at our vacancies in Budapest!
